Daily Star Open!
I don't have any details, but the Daily Star is back open. Hopefully, they will reform quickly and be better than ever.

Hi there....I've been reading your blog on and off for ages. I sued to find it informative and entertaining. Now I see you have become more and more irregular. And 'Open Lebanon' seems to belong to only a couple of totally boring blogs. What's going on?

My life changed. I became discouraged with blogging and Lebanese politics, and have moved on for the time being. I might come back to it.
There was a "golden" age of Lebanese blogs that occurred from the assassination of Hariri to a year later with the 2006 Hezbollah-Israel war. The hope and optimism that propelled many blogs died, and bloggers fell into the trap of mimicking the Lebanese media in general, rather than offering something different. Sectarianism escalated, and friendships deteriorated.
We'll see what happens.
I'll probably start blogging actively again once I start paying close attention to the elections and the political moves made in different regions.
